Yes, I definitly hold grudges. I'm married and I still hold a grudge over something my husband did when we were dating. But some things are hard to get over. I always feel like I should get even and still stay mad but thats not right. What I try to do, and sometimes it actually works, is be the bigger person and forgive them. But I also let them realize, what they did hurt me I a way they will never understand. The pain of getting your feelings hurt won't go away, it will always be there. It will eventually just not hurt as much and life will go on. Try forgiving them, but make sure they know, it hurt then and it will continue to hurt after.

We are told in the bible we must forgive 70 x 7... and even more than that... it is up to us to forgive all trespasses against us, it is not easy... I am a grudge holder by nature... I am learning to just let go of all the pain and forgive... What a relief it is to get rid of those burdens... to carry so much anger and resentment over the past offenses is too heavy a burden for me anyway! It made me a bitter unhappy person... I am feeling much more peaceful and more joy in life now that I am letting go of those feelings! We are also told that if we don't forgive the other person, we will be held accountable... It is up to us to do the forgiving, but also to move forward and not hold it in our hearts as we would a grudge!

It really depends on what the action was that they did to hurt you. But really........... grudges are no good. You should never hold grudges because you have no idea what the future tomorrows will bring........ and one day when you need someone the most, that person may be the only one there. Forgive and move on, but you shouldn't hold grudges. Grudges mean, you haven't moved on in your life. Blessed be................

If you read the Bible, in the Gospels Matthew 6 v 9 - 13 , Luke 11 v 1 -4 has the Lord's prayer which almost every one know. inside it says, "........ forgive our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us....."

If one would say doesnt believe in the bible, right imagine u did something wrong to some1 and your life depends on the persons forgiveness, suppose the person is like you who holds grudges, what would you do? and also if you dont forgive, how do you expext other people to forgive you??

The best way to forgive is forgiving yourself first and then forgive others, if you cant forgive others its hard to forgive yourself.

Learn to forgive. I for one do forgive and forget if possible. Its hard but it makes you feel better.

It depends. In time I Ususally end up forgiving them whether they ask or not. Just because, Im usually the one who is hurt from it not them. Therefore it only affects me. What good is it to hold a grudge.

Something I’ve noticed with a dispute between two people is that the person holding a grudge is as someone who holds on to hot coals. The other person may have dropped them and doesn’t get affected by the situation where as the other person burns himself because he can’t let go.

I guess it would depend on the circumstances. I have a couple of instances where I still hold a grudge but the people involved weren't that important to me in the first place. If I care about the person enough I'll find it in me to fogive them.

Its a tricky one. My boyfriend did something last night that really hurt my feelings and I don't feel as though I can forgive him. But at the same time, bearing a grudge just means it's festering and making me feel like crap for even longer.
