WinRAR has good compression too...but not with media...

Use AlZip, it supports many different file formats so you can test out various types to see which is the best.

I would have to say nero but it depends what your talking about if your talking about videos you can use Nero or DVD Shrink

but if you use audio put it in .ogg format (jet audio)
