If a PC game stats that it requires Windows 98, will it work on XP?

Most of the times it will work,but some games are not compatible with XP.Since XP was released long ago,many gaming companies have a released a patch for their games which will make the game work on XP.Checkout the website of your game,there will be a patch,download and install it.If you cannot find a patch then that means your game will run well on XP.By the way what game you are looking for?

Not all of them. I have a few that run OK, but one that TICKS ME OFF is Mechwarrior III. This program will not run on XP no matter what I try. I can get it to run for awhile, but it will lock up at some point. I do have some other 98 games that work OK.

Try this.
1)Right click the exe file->properties->compatibility->compatibilty mode->check the check box for turning on the compatibilty mode->select windows 98/windows me from the combo box.
It will run in XP now.

It will work, but sometimes the game will not work as well. I have only ran into a couple that were like this, but it can happen. Most likely though it will work fine.

Yes I guess it will work as Win XP is advanced. But it may not work vice versa.

the two see if there's a abode windows xp computer or in case you have a unused abode windows ninety 8 cd, you've twin boot the place you have the two working gadget put in on the computer.
