Movement is the key. Whatever you do, move. If you are sitting at your desk at work, shake your legs. Walk when you could drive short distances. Take breaks and walk around your building. Also, keep your stomach full of water, this will keep you from eating too much.

There is a diet book called Before, During, and After. The basics of the book are drink a 8 oz. of water before, during, and after eating...eat whatever you want. Again, the key is that your stomach will be full of water and you wont eat as much.

Eat less calories. Don't eat none though, as you will get sick. And always drink a lot of water. I'd review a bunch of websites and chose a plan which does not have very speedy results. The reason is that it is impossible to lose much more than 2-3#/week of FAT without getting sick. You can lose much more weight in water, but that is NOT healthy. The reason why is that 1# of fat contains 3500 kCal. You need to eat 3500 fewer than you would otherwise have to lose 1# of fat. An average man eats 2800kCal/Day. If you were completely average in terms of your intake (Which no one is: I eat about 4500 kCals daily) If you dropped that intake by 1000kCal and consumed only 1800kCals, you would run a deficit of 1000 kCals per day, or 7000 per week, which means 2# of fat. (3500kCals per # fat / 7000 kCals = 2# fat.) The diets which claim to shortcut this are either not proven safe or are lying. Sorry, there is no shortcut except perhaps surgery. Diet pills, when they work, do increase your metabolism a bit, which will burn more calories... At the risk of heart attack, stroke, etc...

Just monitor your intake, determine how many calories you eat, reduce that amount by about a third, drink a lot of water, and you will safely and naturally lose weight.

Walk more. If you drive, park the car further away.

If you use elevators, take stairs. You will hardly notice these changes, but they add up fast. Check heart rate with doctor first, though, to make sure this is ok with him. Mostly this is Dr. recommended for most people.

Add fruits, veggies, and whole grain breads to what you eat now. There great appetite depressants! So you feel full really quick.

Maybe if you could lighten up you're mood. There must be a reason why you're feeling a little lazy. Though, that is fun once and a while to.
