Why is cheating wrong ?

Question

If you know that it's impossible to get caught, and the person you're cheating with knows the score - what's the problem ?

(I'm not advocating it by the way - just interested in all of your views)

If you made a commitment to someone then you need to honor that. If you need to cheat then you shouldn't be in a committed relationship, you should be single and not tied down so you can play the field and not hurt anyone else. Getting caught or having the one you are cheating with know the score is irrelevant.

Because in our society we are raised to believe we will find someone to love and who will love us back
this does NOT include any more than 2 people
so although you can rationalise the situation of cheating because you say it will never be found out in your partners eyes she/he is the only one no room for affairs or cheating in a true loving relationship idealised by what weve been brought up to think. Now if you lived in certain states in america you would be applauded for having more than 1 partner where women in a certain culture know they will be part of a marraige which includes more than 1 wife
You I'm guessing are in the uk or Irekland so its frowned upon and you are expected to be true to one woman although thats fast disappearing and people are cheating left right and centre.
My personal experience of it is disgust, anger, disappointment and a huge dollop of hurt, if your man cheats on you you dont feel good enough you feel dirty cos you know he's been with someone else and imagine shes a rotten cow cos she knew you were his partner.
I'd say get out of the relationship if you are not satisfied then you are'nt cheating.

Well just imagine the person you really REALLy like thinking this:

"Im gona get dat pus*y when i see her (meaning fu*k the brains outta da mistress),what my partner dont know, wont hurt her and my little thing on the side is kool with it all so i suppose i aint doing sh!t wrong. MMMMMM, what excuse shall i tell my gal though, sh!t, oh i know i'll tell her my mum was ill and i couldnt get to the phone. Yeah that will do."

That feeling you can feel right now, thats why its wrong. Its not nice, its disrespectful and it can damage you as a person, the way you think about yourself, how you carry yourself as a person, the way you are with others, your state of mind. It can really harm you when a partner that you care for so much does the dirrrrrttty on you. I wouldnt actually wish that on any of my enemies. Its so totally wrong man!

Cheating is dishonest. That's why it's wrong. It's like lying in a way, since you've told one person that you are exclusively with him/her, and in actuality, you're not.

Also, if your dissatisfaction with your current partner is enough to make you seek satisfaction elsewhere, then you shouldn't be with your partner in the first place.

Either make your relationship or don't. Don't cheat. Nothing good comes from it.

BTW , when I use the word "you" I'm being general. I'm not singling anyone out.

ever hear of a concept called TRUST? when in a relationship with someone, they expect that you trust them and they trust you, cheating breaks trust and proves what kind of person you really are, if it were me and a girl cheated on me, she'd be done, no "im sorry, i didnt mean to, it just happened" it would just be over and no getting back together, or anything, whats done is done, there is no undoing whats been done, just like you cant fix the house that got blown into a billion pieces by the tornado, you cant fix massive betrayals in trust, which is a good thing i dont trust anyone, and never will, unless they can earn it, which is doubtful with me, im just that way, so to make this to where even the dumbest person on yahoo (which has millions of dumb people) can understand....CHEATING IS WRONG

Management: *8 Monkeys* ... ..*really** very interesting*
(This is based on an actual experiment conducted in U.K.)

*Put eight monkeys in a room. In the middle of the room is a ladder, leading to a bunch of bananas hanging from a hook on the ceiling.*

No matter how you may look at it cheating is cheating.If you are in a relationship with someone and they know your cheating or you ask if you can cheat then that is not a real relationship.If you do cheat then no matter how it goes someone will get hurt wether it be you or you lover or your booty call.Just dont cheat its wrong and if your cheating now consider the consequences b/c you are showing the person your with now that they arent satisfying you enough.Consider everyones feelings!

It is wrong because it means that the person you are currently with is not enough for you or you don't really love the.... if you did you wouldn't want to cheat on them or be with anyone else.... now if you do want to be with someone else than you should BUT you should tell your current partner that before you do since cheating on them and then letting them know is basically your desire to hurt them and there is nothing more malicious then intentionally hurting someone... You need to think about how you would feel if your partner was cheating. You will always get caught, maybe not now but later. What do you think will happen if you get a disease or pregnant? I think cheating is wrong morally. If your partner can't make you happy in that area, try doing other things to spice it up or break up with them so your free to find that one that will make you happy.

If you look at the definition of cheating none of the definitions given are positive.

Even if the other person doesn't know your cheating, You do and somewhere along the line it will come back to bite you. Being dishonest is not good not only for the person your cheating but for you too.

Let's say for example your partner decides that her co-worker is very good looking and makes her feel so good she loves his company and for whatever reason they end up having sex. Protection did not work it broke and you never find out no big deal right? well lets just say she caught HIV but she doesn't know it so she goes home sleeps with you and then you have HIV hey what you don't know doesn't hurt right? WRONG!!!! had you known she cheated you could have either broken it off or at least have the choice to make her test herself before doing anything with her again specially without protection.
