She is actually very mellow now...will she get hyper, more energy or less?

She may become more calm if she is high-strung. She also may gain a little weight, but she isn't likely to change a whole lot.

I dont know about her personality, but spayed pets tend to gain weight, and a few of them do get a little testey, easily p-ed off and all, but otherwise she should still be about the same before the spay.

I had my lab spayed a few years ago, and keeping her weight under control has been a huge struggle. She is now 18 pounds overweight, and does not enjoy outdoors. All she wants to do is sleep. I think it was a huge mistake.

Gaining weight is a common misconception. She will not change one bit except for the fact that you will not need to crate her or follow her with a mop when she is in heat.

Once she figures out she can't have pups anymore, she'll be bangin' everything that wears 4 legged pants!

She'll be fine-it really is the best thing you can do for your pet.
