The US military establishment needs a mission to keep the Banking and Arms Industry thriving and viable.

9/11 made that Mission Possible. Bush created a 'False-Flag' covert operation to spook the American people... WOW the greatest con-job since Pearl Harbour.

The USA doesn't come of as the most trustworthy in it's approach to diplomacy. It is known by the rest of the world as totally pragmatic and lacking any loyalties. Maybe this is a good thing but sometime it makes you crazy. The Red menace of the past is now our biggest trading partner, China, and almost is never referred to as the Red Chinese. On the other hand the totally non threatening country of Cuba is reserved for our vilest treatment because of the Communist Reds running that country. the north Koreans are Very Red and threatening. On the other hand the democratically elected leaders of Iran are part of the Axis of evil including the totalitarian N. Koreans. We like the Dictatorial Monarchs of Saudi Arabia and Jordan but scorn the Elected government of Nicaragua. We supported Saddam then invaded him. We supported the freedom fighters in Afghanistan then invaded that country and put them in Guantanamo Bay. Maybe that's why Americans choose to be ignorant of international relations. It's double think at its optimum.

Communism was a boogy-man? Gee maybe you should talk to all those folks who lived behind the Iron Curtain. Better yet, why not have a chat with a Korean War Veteran? Of course, then you might learn something.

You obviously have not opened a history book. Or a logic book.

You assume that there was a "boogyman" in the 1950s and somehow that must mean that one exists now.

Communism in the 1950s was hardly a "boogyman." Communists had infiltrated the government in the 1950s and it was a very valid concern. We can disagree on McCarthy's tactics, but he was ultimately correct.

Bush didn't "create" anything. He responded properly to global terrorism by fighting it, not ignoring it as his predecessor had done.

Gee, a new Kool-Aid flavor!

Bush is incompetent in every aspect of governance, yet manages to pull off the covert op of the century!

Islamofascism, btw, is the new "bogey-man."
