No- black is typically from blood in the stool. You should see a doctor.

Actually the flu doesn't really have much to do with your stool. The reason why it would be black is because of what you eat and how your body breaks down what you eat, but if it continues I would suggest going to see a doctor.

Wait a few days to see if the color changes back to normal. It's not gross. Gross is carrying around 3 jars of stool samples, first to the docs then to the hospital ! I have the same problem, but Helicobacter Pi.....something or other was my diagnosis. Hope you get better soon

You should go to the doctors just in case it is something serious. While it is true that Pepto Bismol can make your stool black, so does blood in your stool. Go to the doctors to check A.S.A.P.

Black stool is a sign of internal bleeding. But I'm not a doctor, if you think you need to see a doctor, you should.

Pepto Bismol will do that. If you've taken it or anything like it will turn your stool black.
