When americans are too fat anyway, why should we worry about not having as much meat? Also now there are more jobs for American Citizens and welfare recipients. Didn't we want higher wages? Now law abiding people will get higher wages and the benefits that go with them. All these negative results are temporary and will lead to a much more positive outcome. Come on ICE! You're not moving fast enough. Come on Welfare Recipients or people on unemployment -- Run out and take those jobs quick!!!!!! Prices won't have to be higher if the companies stick to obeying the law and properly training people. Maybe these companies should be forced to hire and train people on welfare -- even job sharing if necessary and provide transportation for people who need it. Why can't we bus workers just like we bus school kids?

What are benefits? Less Identity theft. Less Welfare. Less Law Breaking. Higher Wages. Less Fat. Fewer Idle hands doing the devil's work. More jobs. Integrity.

I'm for that...kill the welfare program and put people to work. Get out, get some fresh air, get into some farming, and get away from the 'free money from the state' business....welfare just breeds perpetual dependency and false expectations, and by putting americans in ag jobs again, we'll likely have higher output, too, and go back to the point where we export food in higher volume to countries that need it, get away from the trade imbalance thing, all in one fell shot. It's brilliant. Work gloves and boots will set you back 50 bucks, must be able to lift 40 lb. repeatedly...

It's not gonna stop me from buying a steak if I want to. So what if it goes up 20 cents, a couple of bucks, who cares? Nobody cares about that, what we care about is all the taxes we pay to support these illegals when they go to the hospital and don't pay a dime, we care about having to pay for their kids to get an education when the only reason they have kids is so they can get a free ride from welfare and other benefits. We care about our money being wasted for them to go to school and then drop out. We are upset that we aren't hearing about raids like this every day on the news.

well, i haven't seen a shortage in meat here (Texas), but maybe if you get the illegals out give their jobs to the people on welfare, we can hit two birds with one stone?
and , all meat and potato lovers are obese?...i think not.
didn't they bus workers back in the 40's and 50's?

the price increase might be due to inflation.
inflation might be due to the debt American govt holds making our dollar less valuable.

not only that but in several other areas people will be seeing increased prices and more burden on their paycheck ... all the whining about how illegals are impacting our economy negatively is a lie imo ... promoting an aggressive police state and repression of any group of people isnt helping any american out in any way shape or form ...

I think it is you that are trying the scare tactics, but it won't work. I would gladly pay double, triple to have more raids like this. Do you think I care about the illegals? or getting cheap meat? I want these illegal invaders caught and I want them thrown out!

Hey, I'd pay more, we need about 20 or 30 ICE raids every day. ----- Prices are not going to double, get a life, if they are telling that, its all a snow job by big business.

I don't care if meat prices rise due to recent raids on illegals and users of stolen identities. It's about time someone cracked down on them !

Less meat means a healthier society. Do not be harassed of meat shortages and higher prices.

No, but even if we did have a shortage, we would be no worse off than if the prices skyrocketed and we couldn't afford it anyway.
