i make any inquiry or two about borderline personality disorder and hope to get intelligent responses from experienced, compassionate people. instead i get snippy remarks from people who have no experience, education or real interrest. just another chat room. you probably should be on the dating chat room circuit.

those people are complete bastards,It isn't just this room the others are loaded with idiots who respond with harassing non answers.

This is not a site for professional advice.
It includes professionals, people who have experienced your illness, amateurs, mature individuals, immature individuals, educated, somewhat educated, uneducated, and some people who pretend to be experts (some will put "RN" or "EMT" or "XX years in the medical field" even though not having the degree)-- a whole spectrum of people.
I advise you to just ignore the lousy remarks (rate with a "down" thumb if you have reached that level) and keep the rest that are helpful to you. Go with the flow if you can.
Some people are just trying to reach a level on answers so they have more control on the site. Their answers will be short and not well thought-out.
Some try to add a little dry humor or sarcasm to be funny. And sometimes they are funny--if you read some of the other topics, they can be.

Sorry, you've had a couple bad experiences. Not everyone on here is a jerk. Sometimes questions are too difficult to read or too serious to be answered by "lay people". I myself try to stay within my realm of being able to actually help. I have had some psychology classes and have a special ed. teaching degree...email me and I'll try and make up for not answering earlier.

because maybe in their real life they hold all that back and they come here to explode all over un suspecting people.... or they are just that way because they are all childish... ...
but keep ?'s open longer because you Will get some intelligent people with decent answers....
