ity should be ok, it will lighten the area again. altho peroxide is harsh so don't over do it.. go to a professional next time and you'll be blonde first time

It will damage you hair, the first application would have damaged it. If it is really ginger then you may need to reapply the peroxide but keep an eye on it and it will get lighter.
To test how damaged your hair is get hold of a few of you hairs while wet and pull it gently if it feels strong your ok, if you can stretch it and it feels like chewing gum stop immediately, you will be supprised some peoples hair is very strong and others are weak to check it.
If it yellow then you should be able to use an ASH blonde tint on it and will take away the yellow.
Becareful what ever you do and watch it all the time.

Don't use peroxide to dye your hair! If you are not going to do it professionally, which is what I suggest, get a hair color box and if you have really dark hair a bleach kit and toner! After you use peroxide your cuticle of your hair is open. If you go in the sun or tanning after, it will lift faster but it has no control what so ever! Just go get it done!

Peroxide doesn't dye your hair, it strips the colour from it. That's why people use it before they dye their hair weird colours like purple, blue, pink, etc...

If you want to become a blonde, I suggest you go to a colourist so that it can be done properly with minimal damage to your hair.

if ur like me an hate hairdressers then u can do it urself. i did. i got it white at one point. but u have to condition it alot! and if i were u id leave it a least a week between dyes. yeah eventually itll go light but eventually itll also fall out if u keep dying it with peroxide. it'll damage ue hair cos that what peroxide does, but its bearable if u condition it lots

If you need to get rid of red tones in your hair use an ashed base colour as a toner. If you get a light ash blonde colour and apply it yo where you have coloured you hair it will help neutralise the red tones in your hair.
If you don't feel confident doing that go to a salon.
Best of luck

my friend had this happen to her, she dyed over the ginger and although it turned out blond..it damaged her hair quite badly it snapped off when she straightened it and looked really dry. so i wouldn't recommend it! a hairdresser will be able to tell you whether its safe to do that.

Don't do it! If you have had one disaster don't listen to your friends you could go green. You will certainly damage your hair. Be sensible go to the hairdresser for help, that is the only way to do it.
