Why does your chosen career appeal to you?

I'm actually going to be starting school in September for Dental Hygiene. I starting getting into it because my girlfriend of over a year has been a hygienist for 3 years now. I had never even really thought about a career in the medical field until I met her. Although I will admit I'm still in the air about either doing Dental Hygiene or Radiology, I'm still leaning towards Hygiene. I think it appeals to me because I enjoy helping people (I even just finished taking the Firemen's entrance Exam last weekend) and the medical field does interest me, but through Hygiene I can focus more on one area.
