Chocolate is a really nice complement to a Port wine. You will really be able to tell a difference before and after eating the chocolate. I first tried this in a tasting room in the Napa Valley.

Stilton cheese is really great with it, & yes, port is considered most complimentary to chocolate & desserts. I have also served it with strawberries or dark berries, as ports tend to have a lot of berry flavors in them.

Warm chocolate truffle cake with whipped cream & berries. The port would be perfect.

Port is lovely with many desserts, as long as they are sweet and not citrus based.
But best with Stilton, I think!
