The word Jealousy have a few different meanings and it is a feeling that everyone I am sure has, it consist of wish I had, I wish I was like them , I could do this and that, kind of thing. It can be hard to over come if a person makes it hard just remember it proving something to other people does not mean a thing it is like try to set a standard in which you will hope you get noticed and sometimes that can be a bad thing. Just because somone has something or someone you wish you had does not mean you have to be like that person if they have a bad reputation, Just be your own person, set your own trends an do your own thing, be who you are and not what other people want you to be, if you are yourself jealous will become extinct and you will meet people and do things because of it.

i think it has many kinds.. there's jelousy that seems to be like envy.. but when it's about love it means having negative feelings (like being angry, upset) because your partner's attention, thoughts, time are directed to someone else or even something else.
how to overcome it? well eventually you'll get tired of it when you don't do something to overcome it.. i suggest that you do some adjustments and talk to your partner

Well it's an emotion that can destroy relationship if you let it and it come from within you. You can over come it through prayer.
