It has been established that there is no connection. However, there are people that keep using the 9/11 attacks as an excuse for the war in Iraq. Are they in denial or ignorant or stupid or what ?

There is no DIRECT connection between al-Qaeda and initial invasion of Iraq. U.S.-led forces invaded to oust Hussein because of U.N. resolution violations. It wasn't until after the invasion that terrorist organizations and outside influences began the insurgency that is threatening the fledgling democratic government instituted after the war itself. So, there is a connection NOW, but not in March 2003. You need to have a broader view of what's going on over there.

I can understand how you feel on this issue because none of the terrorist were from Iraq and Saddam had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack but let me try to help you out. 9/11 woke up our president to the fact that there are certain groups and governments that want to cause death and hardship to the US. While Saddam did not perpetrate the attacks of 9/11 he has made his intentions to harm the US public for sometime. Osama also has made his intentions known and has actually conducted and planned strikes against the US. Saddam has the wealth and know how to create WMDs and may have even had stockpiles according to intelligence (even if flawed the capability and desire was there for Saddam) and he would have given or helped Osama get these weapons if given the chance. I know that many people say well they are rivals and while that is somewhat true so is Osama and Hamas but they have collaborated in the past to strike US interest during the Clinton administration (US embassy).
Both Osama and Saddam hate the US more than they hate each other and to get to us they would have worked together. People who don't understand this and don't know the history of the terrorist attacks that have taken place against the US say that Iraq and Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 and that is true but the overthrowing of Saddam was to prevent future attacks.

I am currently in Afghanistan home of Osam Bin Laden, the training Camp where the terrorists and the plan for 9/11 is not even 10 minutes from where I am stationed. We are in Iraq for a reason but 9/11 is all Afghanistan.

This has no longer been disproven! there replaced right into a assembly between Iraqi intelligence and various of alternative of the 9/11 contributors (at the same time with Mohammad Atta). replaced into Iraq in contact? i do not comprehend. yet to say there isn't any link is to blatantly dismiss the information. besides, your area ought to provide a rats @ss about our troops. Given your (liberals) previous and cutting-edge list of appeasement, I doubt, for you patriots, something is worth battling for.

They're just idiots looking for ways to justify the continued occupation of another country. As for there being no more attacks on the US since 9-11, who can say that it is because we are fighting in Iraq? No one can, unless you too are a terrorist.

the connection between Iraq and 9/11 is terrorism
that wasn't the reason for removing Hussein but it is the reason for the continued conflict, and when 95% of air and print media is liberal that makes Sean an idiot

Even though there is no connection, the people who advocated that we invade and kill the citizens of a sovereign nation are now afraid they can't sleep at night. If they say there is a connection enough times, maybe God will start to believe it as well and forget about the 600,000 dead come Judgment Day.

Why do people keep whining that we are in Iraq trying to eliminate the terrorists who helped fund the 911 attacks. Maybe you should go stand as a human shield for the terrorists!

They want to feel like they're right and weren't mislead. That's human nature, call it absurd but these people who still believe in a connection now will never change their mind.
If their big leader, the decider,George W himself, can't convince them,it's hopeless for us to even try
