Relax....Sometimes people just ask because they wanted to compare your answers. And, sometimes, there are also people who could not even answer a simple question when they encountered stress. Whatever it is, after all posing and answering a question is free, is it. As such, let it be.

This will sound weird but googling is a skill. I know a woman who can find i mean ANYTHING online. Not everyone is so lucky. Also, maybe someone has a book you've never heard of, or knew about a sidenote you'd never have thought to look for on your own.

Also sometimes if it's a pop culture or etiquette question, you're better off asking people. Then again, if it's a subject that is controversial, you're likely to get as many bad websites as good ones if you google it- maybe more. So it's nice to get reccommendations.

Now I can't criticise you for getting cranky over it. My hot button is when people actually copy and paste wikipedia as their answer. I am not kidding. i've seen this so much. I'm sure that anyone who wanted the wiki answer already got it. If they're still asking, obviously, it was lacking.

Maybe it's the same thing with the google. Maybe people already tried it, got overwhelmed, and decided to ask instead, to narrow that down a bit.

I wonder the same thing. I just consider those a learning experience, though, and they give a break from all of the opinion questions about "do you think the war is bad" and "I'm 13 and sick, do you think I'm pregnant".

Because they need other people's opinions.
It's not worth being annoyed about it.
