I have three reason only one of the a God hater would consider as evidence. Deep inside I have a desire to know God.. That's personal to me and in NOT subject to question. what makes me , me is not for others to judge. The second is fulled prophecy given in the Bible. The prophecies about Jesus and His work here. The third is the thumb print God left on all life. It has to do with the chirality of all life proteins and DNA. There in no way life could have began by natural means because of this scientific fact. Chirality is indeed the thumb print of God.. Jim

first off to the guy who responded first, thats a terrible argument. i completely agree with you that god exists but you cant go around saying 'god exists because he lives in my heart and makes me happy and freed me of my sins' that makes as much sense as saying 'god exists because god said in the bible he exists'

you are the reason why people hate christianity so much because of idiots like you that dont apply logic to anything they say and they sound like a moron

having that out of the way...
1. every event has a cause
2. even the succession of causes must be caused, for there could be another succession or no succession at all
3. therefore, these cannot be an infinite causal regress
4. thus, there must be a first cause
5. therefore, god exists

plus, if we believe there is a god and we die, then A)if god exists, we'll be fine because we knew to lead a good life, or B)if god does not exist, oh well, nothing wrong can happen

OR, if we do not believe there is a god and we die, then A)if god does exist, we're screwed because we went around being mean to others and causing chaos cause we didnt believe there was a god and we were all basically animals, or B)there isnt a god and we're fine

so either go with the first example, of believing in god, and you can either be good cause god exists, or be fine if he doesnt
but if you go with the second example, either you'll be fine cause he doesnt exist, or your screwed

the only possible way to go wrong is if you dont believe in god here, so, in conclusion, we must believe in god because its the only way to end on good standings

oh yea, and it doesnt have to be the christian god, its just god

Theres a feeling, like, you know your believing in the right thing. And, also, from a more human point, I look around and I think about how stupid it is that people think everything got here from some big bang. It was obviously designed, and to have been designed, there has to have been a designer, and thats God. When you actually stop and think about things, having a God thats in control just makes sense.

Do you sin?

Ever told a lie?
Ever stolen anything?
Ever Blasphemed?
Ever hated anyone?
Ever lusted after someone?

27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28

"Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him." 1 John 3:15

"For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10

"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27

Will you be guilty standing before God knowing that you broke his commandments just like everyone else has? Would you go to heaven or hell?

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

Sin and hell are married unless repentance proclaims divorce!

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Mark 1:15

Try a prayer - God if you are real, let me know You. I want to know Your Son Jesus Christ. Come into my life. Amen

Now - borrow a Bible - read the Book of John and then read the Book of Luke.

Seek God and you will find Him. God will make Himself known to you. God does tell us to seek Him with all our heart. Don't let up until He makes Himself known to you. Be aware of your dreams and very aware of everything around you. If you are blessed you will hear His voice. Yes, the Bible tells us "His sheep hear His voice." When you hear His voice you will have a hunger and a thirst for God that you have never experienced in your life. I am praying for you at this very moment. God loves us very much.

Scientifically, I know that there is a God because you cannot make something from nothing. In other words - you cannot make matter without matter - it is simply impossible. This has long been the argument for many theologists in philosophy. So in my mind - I believe God created matter, by which everything else could be created.

No one can prove a negative. You can only prove a positive.
If you say: "Since things exist, there must be a creator." This doesn't prove that a God did it, we could be the result of a fart from a giant sea monkey.
Or anything else for that matter.
To assign god with the unknown is attempting to be god.
Be human, it's much more fun!

The probability that life started by accident is about the same as a tornado going through the junkyard and assembling an operating 747. There had to have been some sort of "Intelligent Design" to life on Earth.

People don't really 'know'. They believe because they were told it when they were young and/or it meets some internal needs for comfort and the belief gives easy answers to difficult questions.
Belief is irrelevant. People used to sincerely believe there were gods on Mt Olympus who intervened in daily life - they made sacrifices, called on them for help and consulted oracles. Their belief didn't make it true.
For thousands of years people believed the world was flat -- it didn't make the world flat. Belief and reality are not connected.
Either you know something is true or you don't. The number of things we can truly know with certainty is pretty limited. The answer to many questions is simply 'I don't know'.

Because the world is too perfectly made for it to have been an accident! Have you ever just looked at something as simple as a dried out leaf? Even a small piece of the world like this is beautifully intricate-if you look close, the veins produce a breathtaking structure for the leaf. It's all to wonderful to be an accident-and that's just a LEAF!

I believe! :)
