I was molested by a cousin in my own home nightly for three months. I was drugged and he confessed to 'trying' to rape me, although I dont know that he wasnt successful, since i cant remember a solid two weeks of my life.

NIghtmares, lack of confidence, a misconception of what love is which leads you to look for similar treatment in boyfriends and lovers, ending up in abusive realtionships because you have no self worth. Feeling dirty, feeling like you cant scrape your skin clean enough, feeling broken, feeling like you have nothing pure and innocent left, feeling like no one could ever love such a worthless dirty creature....

Depression, anorexia, a stunt in social development, violent behavior, emotional scaring, self punishment....

Pretty much the same things that rape will do to you.

Its not pleasant at all, and no matter how much time you put between you and that event its never quite far enough away in your memory.

I'm a therapeutic foster mom and I only take sexually abused kids. Effects are total loss of self esteem, splitting (which basically means the child is torn up and doesn't know who to be), a sense of brokeness that can only be repaired by years of therapy and prayer, a questionable future. Many molesters grow up to molest also since they are groomed by the molester to do it too.

If you are asking what are the effects of a child being molested they are to numerous to name, but some of most seen things are sexually acting out, perpetrating another child, depression, suicidal ideation, poor grades and concentration, and lack of ability to set boundaries.

I would have to talk to the counsellor about this because this is one of the emotional and pyschological experience to go through. Don't add him, because he may not be changed man at all.

Fear about who you can trust.
You feel used like your nothing.
You feel lke you have no control over your body you think it wont be the same.
You feel like any person could just come off the street and think they can do whatever they want you.
