"so if I did or said anything uncouth, I'm sorry"

Someone told me this in reference to some emails we exchanged over a misunderstanding of emotions.

I'm trying to figure out the "uncouth" part of it, as to what what meant.

Below is a link to Dictionary.com which gives three meanings. Without hearing the word in it's original context, it is impossible to determine/assume how it was intended.

My best suggestion is, asked this friend what they meant by it. Since the misunderstanding began over an email, perhaps trying to contact this person in real life would be the best approach. Avoid accusations, by saying something like, "I didn't really understand what you meant by 'uncouth' in your last email. Would you mind explaining this to me?"

Good Luck
Sheryl

Collins Word Perfect defines this as IMPROPER. Not a good person. It was first coined in the 1980s, referrting to rioting lads as UNCOUTH YOUTHS. The word has stuck with everyone.

There will be many motives, consisting of their very own own motives which we may be able to no longer understand. more desirable commom motives will be that they are worried about your route and your neglected threat with Jesus, for the reason that all Christians understand the end results of denying Jesus: hell. they'd be attempting to rigidity their very own ideals on you, even with the truth that the "duty" to inform you about the "reliable information". now and again once you go adverse to what someone believes, they are even more desirable forceful, because they think of their concept is ideal, and yours is inaccurate, so this is their duty to remodel you. What they are lacking is that once they have informed you, they ought to leave you on my own till you interact them about the gospel. Jesus informed his disciples to pass and pontificate the gospel, no longer to remodel. human beings are switched over from interior of; of their very own hearts, and from the Holy Spirit, no longer because of a few thing I say as a Christian - and further, no longer because of what those human beings are telling you. it really is God who attracts close to. The "duty" they communicate of is to no longer make it easier to be ignorant. once you've been knowledgeable, this is not any longer their job to rigidity you to have self belief. God does no longer want each one of those "believers", because they typically have self belief only for a little while, and at the same time as they determine out God isn't a genie, they fall back into doubt, so what's the point? they are no longer doing the Christian international some huge provider by using attempting to win you over with rigidity or scare approaches.

She is trying to say that if she did something that she is unaware that she did. She appologizes.

Ex. Lets say you have an obsession with grapes and she was tell you how bad grapes are and how she thinks grapes are the worst fruit ever and anybody who likes grapes should be shot.

She was not aware that you are a grape fanatic and she hurt your feelings.

It means that they are sorry if they did something that might have been in bad taste. Now it's up to you to figure out if that person is being sincere with the apology.
