Definitely water. Our body is 90% water anyhow. You can go without food for sometime, but water or some type of fluid is essential for body functions.

Since air is going to come naturally... I'm going to say water... however, if you don't have the right nutrients in the water you can't survive on it alone... so if you want to get really technical... then it's necessary to have "nutrients"... which could be a lot of things... and so far... from what I've read... there is no pill that can provide all the nutrients you need in a day, you still have to eat..
And you can't survive without sleep either but that's not a consumption... so it depends on how you look at it. hehehe...

i'd have to say that air is the most immediately necessary thing for our bodies since we have to have a constant supply of it. we can go for hours or even days without food or drink, but we'll die in minutes without air.

our bodies need oxygen to survive as we do not store the necessary amount of oxygen we need to last for long periods as we do for food and water.
