Mix a little bit of salt or sugar in intense moisturizing liquid soap. Wash your hands as normal but pay special attention to the dry or problem areas. Slather on pure petroleum jelly leave it on and cover your hands with rubber gloves. Leave over night if you don't have all night put under a heating pad for about 10 minutes. Take gloves off and rinse off excess jelly. Your hands will feel amazing!

Yes, I agree with the others who mentioned MK's Satin Hands. I don't live in a very dry climate so I don't usually have problems with dry hands but when I do, Satin Hands definitely does the trick. It uses a really rich cream and a yummy-smelling exfoliant and makes your hands super-soft. If you know someone who sells Mary Kay, I'm sure they'll give you samples of it.

i have the best and the cheapest home exfoliants formula. i do this once a week. use olive oil or coconut oil with sugar for light exfoliation or salt for a better scrubbing effect(some people may find it too harsh). as soon as you wash it off your skin will be soooooo smooth and will cure your chapped dry hands. after washing it off, pat dry with a towel and immediately apply baby oil/vaseline/classic nivea cream(choose any of these) because mineral oil, beeswax, and petroleum jelly will maintain the moisture in your hand that you got from olive oil/coconut oil and water. wear clean socks or gloves on your hands and leave it over night. next morning it will be beautiful. trust me on this. it works on everyone.
during the day you can use a good hand cream containing any of the following ingredients : petroleum jelly, mineral oil, beeswax, and any sorts of other oils such as sunflower oil, grapeseed oil etc.

This is one of my FAVES!! Trust me, you WILL love it!!!
Mix olive oil (or lavender or almond or any oil that is good for your skin) with fine sugar (you can even add a couple drops of essential oil or honey if u like) into paste and rub gently over your hand. Let it sit for 2 minutes and wash off. It will leave your hand slightly greasy (and definitely SOFT & SMOOTH!!!), massage in a couple drops of olive oil & wear your good old gloves & go to sleep!! I recommend you to do this at night before you go to sleep. It works GREAT on face & body htoo!!
GOOD LUCK!!

Anything with aloe in it helps chapped hands or even lips. Try soaking them in warm water and then applying the aloe lotion, and if possibel, put gloves on for a while so the lotion absorbs.

Aloe vera, and bag balm are great suggestions. I think Oil of Olay makes a lotion, its in a large light purple bottle, i cant remember the name, but it works wonderful.
