stretch out muscles. and yes u should exercise again this afternoon (or whenever u workout) this will get them warmed up and make stretching more easy (but dont work the same muscle group 2 days in a row w/weights) after u work out, take a bath with epson salts and u should feel good as new in tomorrow.

When you exercise, you break down your muscle tissue. Your body's defensive response to this is to build the muscle up stronger. That's why exercise makes you stronger and more toned. This rebuilding usually takes about 48 hours, which is why trainers recommend not working the same muscle group two days in a row--to give the muscle time to rebuild. If you are hurting, you should stretch gently to keep your muscles from tightening up, but do not exercise these muscles again until you are pain-free. An anti-inflammatory like Advil or Motrin will help, as will warm baths, and a deep heat rub like Ben-Gay (they make it without that lovely smell now, thank God). By the way, the pain will be worse the second day after the exercise--always is.

I would choose to be relieved of mental anguish. Physical pain goes away but mental anguish sticks around much longer. All the emotions that come with the mental anguish would be great to get rid of. If you are mentally tormented, your life feels like its much worse than it is and you don't want to do anything anyways. However, if you are in pain you may hurt but you are not feeling the emotions so you can still have a good view of life.

Don't take pain killers!!! Have a relaxing hot bath and just get on with it. I'm guessing you've not exercised in a while or you've tried something new so you've worked muscles you haven't worked before. It shows that you've had a good work out.

Rest them for at least a day before exercising again, you'll find it wont hurt next time.

Stretching seems to help avoid the pain in the future. Now that you are in pain, I would use some muscle cream and take a day or two off from exercising.

Rest two days. No exercise. Soak in HOT bath up to neck every 12 hours. Take naproxin sodium (Aleeve) in four hours. Take two aspirin now. Slightly stretch SLOWLY in standing position every two hours. Try a topical pain reliever. Drink extra water. Eat less fat, more fruit/veggies. Professional massage. RN

If you can relax in a hot tub or get massage that will help. If u gonna rest make sure you have strecthed off properly first.
don't take the painkillers, just relax but still move and get up every now and then to avoid stiffness.

well a dip in the jacuzzi in the gym or health club would bbe a way to relief your pain. having somene to massage you will also alleviate your pain. taking piankillers should alwasy be the last resort and you should probably take it easy for the next few days to let your muscles recover. Next time when you exercise, you shoudl not push yourself to hard especially if you are doing weight training, you can injure yourself. be careful next time.

It maybe a build up of lactic acid, which causes the muscles to ache and become stiff. A good remedy is to have cold/hot therapy- shower with cold water then change to very warm as this will cause the lactic acid to leave the muscles and hence get you better quicker!!
If you really hurt then you might want to buid up your fitness a bit more slowly, you don't want to injure yourself!!

take a hot bath with some Epsom salt as hot as you can stand and soak. BUT you cannot quit exercising you have to keep it up so once the soreness go away, it won't come back!
