He is normally active but the last month he's been quite the opposite. He still come running at dinner time and used the litter box regularly. He still very loving.

THATS NORMAL!!! hes proably active at night.. do ever hear little patter going on? or scratches? he might be active at night and during the day that the poor little thing is tired.. its still a a baby.. babies need their sleep...

he might also feel comfortable there...

cats spend 16 hours of the day sleeping. so this is actually normal. After 5 months of age, kittens begin to grow less playful, so dont worry this is normal kitty behavior.
