I will be taking my first trip to NYC in a couple of weeks. How much should I expect to spend at a decent night club or two for one night(cover, alcohol)? I am a moderate drinker & don't plan on getting wasted...a little tipsy maybe...
Any suggestions on any cool (but inexpensive) places? I like clubs with a music mix of hip hop/pop/techno...is the Crowbar cool?

Crobar is a very cool club. You can expect to pay anywhere from $15 - $30 to get in, then $5 for coat check and $9 for drinks. Waters and cokes are $4!
Pasha is also a really cool club. The prices are about the same.
Check out some club discounts lists, and the club websites to see if you can get reduced/free admission before midnight. Prepare to go early (around 11) and wait on line for a little while.

Probably about $150. Each drink is gonna be about $10 atleast and a tip on top of that, and what ever the cost of the entry fee is, $15 to $25.

iv been to a club in nyc one time. it was a holloween weekend so the prices may have been higher. it was webster hall. 5 floors. 2 of them were hip hop/rap. 2 were techno. 1 latin or something i didnt visit that floor for very long. and it was 30 bucks to get in and 8 bucks per beer. very very expensive. but it was reallly fun. ohh and there was a flippin trapeeze act going on above the dance floor! way way up above a packed floor there was chicks swinging on a rope doing trapeeze act!
