It depends on what is causing the headache.

You could try water: Some headaches are caused by dehydration.

You could try laying with a damp washcloth over your eyes. Or if you have a headache because you are overheated, try coldpacks all over your head and around your neck.

If you're in pain because of low blood sugar, try eating something like a piece of fruit, or perhaps a muffin.

Then there is always a good massage, from your back and up your neck, up your scalp and across your forehead, then down around your ears and behind your jaw.

Good luck!

There are at least three natural cures that I know of. The oldest is a flower called fever few [feverfew], the next is chamomile, which you take in the form of a tea. The final cure and possibly the most effective, is to eat the raw leaves of almost any willow tree. The leaves of the willow contain a natural aspirin.

To simplify "Dr Soul's" answer, please do NOT take belladonna with out strict supervision from a practitioner, it is DEADLY poison in the wrong hands! If you just have a simple headache, White Willow Bark capsules (2 caps every 4 hours) will do the trick. Make sure you are using the whole herb variety of capsule. If you are using standardized dosing, follow the directions on the bottle to the letter. If you are suffering from migraine headaches, Feverfew tincture under the tongue will solve your problem. This plants nick-name is Migraine-few! If these don't work for you, but I have no indication to think they won't, please email me & we can "discuss" it further. Good Luck!

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

drink more water - dehydration is a usual cause of headaches

gentle scalp massage - good in case of tension headaches

my favourite - sip hot green tea - headache vanishes!! try it and see, works everytime. good for stress headaches, sitting on your own quietly and sipping tea away from the madness helps too i guess.

Head aches are usually either dehydration or low blood sugar levels, so lots of water and a banana usually works.

Make sure you get plenty of regular sleep and eat and drink water regularly.

Massage the ball of your thumb or your big toe, these are supposed to be the pressure points that affect your head. Also try massaging your temples in small cirular movements (even better, get someone to massage these areas for you while you sit back and relax!)

some headaches are more than just discomfort.

but some come from simple causes:

noise, dehydration, nausea, fatigue...

their solutions are quite simple too!

fresh air.
glass of water.
silence.
brisk walk.
quick nap in a bed (you may feel better with one or more extra pillows, but make sure not to strain your neck)
