Did you hear that the construction company building the wall on the Mexican-U.S. Border is hiring illegals? That is sooo funny! I busted out laughing. The owner is going to be fined millions $$$$.
That comes to show that illegal immigration is NEVER going to end, and most businesses will continue to hire illegals (from all countries). All this crap that ICE and politicians are doing on t.v. is just for publicity:)

Katsulove, I don't have a link, but it was all over the radio and on the local news. And judging by some of the responses, I know other people have heard about this too.

So, put a bid out across the 50 states to build 2,000 miles of US/Mexico border fence with a completion date of 1 december, 2007, stipulate that all companies applying for that bid must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that their workers are indeed US citizens, have the whole 'open books' thing, and get the damn thing built. The more employers are fined for having illegal aliens in their employ, the better, because that'll send a signal to all the people trying to slide under the wire that it's just not gonna work out for em, long-term.

Please post your link,to my knowledge the Border Fence is not being built as yet so no construction has begun.
They do not have the funding yet.So please post your link that shows this action.
Thank you but I still don't understand this ,first of all its not going to be a wall, its a fence and where did they say it was being built?I know the bill/law that Bush signed has not gone into a building phase because it has not been funded.(the 700 mile fence) I haven't heard anything about it here in Arizona for a month or two..I didn't think I was that far out of the loop. And it doesn't surprise me at all,the company's just want to save money by hiring illegal
workers that they can get cheaper than legal workers. That's a huge part of the problem right there.

I work in construction, and I have to see this crap all the time. Jobs held up because workers cant understand instruction in english. However, this is a start, if you fine the companies that hire illegals (and they are ILLEGAL, not undocumented, or whatever other crap title you want to use) they will have no place to work, and maybe, just maybe, they will stay in their own country. One of the main things we need to chane is the archaic law that makes anyon born on US soil a US citizen. Pregnant hispanic women sneak across the border to give birth knowing that thier child will be a US citizen, and we'll let her stay here because of the baby. One of 2 things needs to happen; either she gets to take her baby and get sent back, or the baby (a US citizen) gets to stay, and SHE gets sent back...

I heard Dennis Miller say something along the lines of allowing them to have a working visa, let 'em build the wall and then put them on the Mexico side. Illegal immigration will end, especially if the AMERICAN people grow balls and protest. It's our AMERICAN right to protest. Illegal immigrants/aliens *not undocumented workers* don't have rights, just deport them! I'm sick of hearing Spanish every where. The worst is going into a business such as McDonalds and they assume you speak Spanish! I made sure to get the food before I told the lady "English first, it's AMERICA!!!"

That's not the border wall, get your facts straight, and the owners are also going to be serving jail time. So before you go off celebrating because some illegals got a fence building job realize this is victory for the American people who want big business owners fined and thrown in jail.

While I agree with you - employer verification is the MOST important thing - you are ignoring the people who want to commit terrorism, have illnesses that could affect our people, work in underground industries (nannies, drug dealers), various criminals, and so forth. Also, we have to spend massive resources on enforcing these laws. And noone believes the government will do this. America does their best work in pseduo-conventional military actions - like border security! And please consider, there are many ways to build fences. We have so much military technology that the fence could be virtual. Again the concern here is that we don't believe the government will kept their word unless we see triple layer physical barriers. Lastly, the wall need to be built one time - verification is never-ending.

I'm celebrating too, I'm glad they are getting fined. Hopefully after enough of this has been done, it will scare these businesses straight and send them in the right direction. Hopefully it will keep illegals from having a reason to come here and send them in the right direction as well, back home.

Not only is that company hiring illegals, we have members of the border patrol who have been interviewed on television news who admit to being illegal aliens. Illegal immigration will end when the loyal american citizens demand accountability from our government and we start to prosecute the traitors who refuse to enforce the laws of the land. The citizens of the USA still run this country and we need to get out the vote and we need to take every legal step possible to rid ourselves of the traitors in our government. Join Citizens Protecting Your Rights in sending pink slips to our Government and Officials who refuse to uphold the law and who vote for illegal immigration. We want at least 12 million American Citizens and law-abiding immigrants to send these post cards, pink paper, or pink labels telling these illegal alien supporters and do nothing Officials that they are FIRED! That will get their attention and maybe get them off their dead butts!

Hey! If the undocumented aliens build the wall from the Mexican side, where's (or more exactly, where would be) the "illegal" part?
Because construction of the wall hasn't been funded yet.
Suggestions that the wall is in fact being, or will be, built by illegal aliens is blogger speculation: http://www.topix.net/forum/us-senate/jeff-sessions/TFL20GQ778OBA0GHF -- fed, apparently, by something that cynical performer Ann Coulter said. http://www.dontfeedthecrocodiles.com/2006/04/
