One of best reasons to drink Bom Dia is becuase of the antioxidants

"Antioxidants are the chemicals with the ability to combat free radicals and reduce damage from oxidation. In doing so, they’re believed to help maintain a healthy immune system, aid in heart health and promote healthy eyes, brain and nervous system. Acai berries contain the highest concentration of antioxidants of nearly any known fruit or vegetable in the world"

What are Antioxidants? Benefits of Antioxidants

antioxidantsAntioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. When our body cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals (by-products) which can cause damage. Antioxidants act as "free radical scavengers" and hence prevent and repair damage done by these free radicals. Health problems such as heart disease, macular degeneration, diabetes, cancer etc are all contributed by oxidative damage. Indeed, a recent study conducted by researchers from London found that 5 servings of fruits and vegetables reduce the risk of stroke by 25 percent. Antioxidants may also enhance immune defense and therefore lower the risk of cancer and infection.

Most commonly known Antioxidants
Vitamin A and Carotenoids Carrots, squash, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, kale, collards, cantaloupe, peaches and apricots (bright-colored fruits and vegetables!)
Vitamin C citrus fruits like oranges and lime etc, green peppers, broccoli, green leafy vegetables, strawberries and tomatoes

So enjoy eating a variety of these products. It is best to obtain these antioxidants from foods instead of supplements. Antioxidants are substances that may protect cells from the damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. Free radical damage may lead to cancer. Antioxidants interact with and stabilize free radicals and may prevent some of the damage free radicals otherwise might cause. Examples of antioxidants include beta-carotene, lycopene, vitamins C, E, and A, and other substances.

Antioxidants fight the damage done by 'free radicals' in your body - not the Chicago 7. Free radicals are damaged cells. Your body makes cells every day - blood cells, nerve cells, etc. Cells also die every day. Too many dead or damaged cells are detrimental to good health.
You need a variety of antioxidants every day from different sources.
