Here's a question, Are you walking your puppy around outside or just letting him go? If you are just letting him go, then you've set no boundaries for him. Some puppys are afraid to wonder to far from its owner and will insist on pottying as close to the owner as possible. I'd recommend walking the puppy in the yard (on a leash or not) and this will stimulate him to need to potty. Another thing that i would do is designate a spot (place poop somewhere) just for the puppy. Smelling his own will also stimulate him to need to go and sometimes, dogs like to potty where they did previously. I'd use some safe chemicals where the accident was occuring until there was no smell of him pottying there or he'll continue to potty there. Good luck.

I first must say that you should be pleased that he is pooping outside at all considering his age.
As others have said, you need to teach him what spot is appropriate for eliminating. Take him to that spot on leash. Praise him wildly and give him a treat when he goes there. Placing some of this stool in the area should give him a hint about what to do.
Do not punish him for eliminating by the door. That's a great way to undo his housetraining. At least he's going outside! Just don't reward him when he goes there. He should figure out soon enough that he benefits when he eliminates in the designated place.

He needs to find his sent and outside your door is where he has chosen to mark his sent. Wait until he dose a poo remove the waste to the place you wish him to go pref outside lat it decay for a few days and hose it in the ground. When he goes just out the door try to catch him say no put his lead on take him to the area you wish him to go he will smell this is his spot it may take up to 2 weeks to get him fully trained to this area yet when he uses it use food as a reward. Hope this helps.

When we moved we had a hard time getting our dog to know his "place".What we did was every time he pooped somewhere he wasn't supposed to,we scooped it up and threw it to the appropriate place, and started leading him over there. After about 3 weeks he got the hint and now does the deed in the right spot.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Rather than just letting him out the door, take him out on a leash and walk to a far corner, let him do his business there. Just like house training.... he has to be taught where NOT to go.
That or try temporarily fencing it off so when you let him out he has to go out beyond that area.

When you let him out, Put him on a leash and take him to the spot you want him to use, And wait till he goes if he doesnt go, leave him out their in that spot on a chain, Until he goes, Do this every time till he starts doing it on his own, It will take time. AND PUNISH HIM WHEN HE POOPS OUT SIDE THE GLASS DOOR, Such as point his nose toward it and say no.

the decision one element you want to spotlight first is getting them to bypass outdoors a minimum of once. attempt this even with the undeniable fact that you'll...yet both way it truly is going to contain you spending an undesirable lot of time outdoors with them. i have had complications getting my pups to poop at the same time as on a leash initially. If choose be, let them free in a constrained area outdoors so as that they could "locate" an excellent spot to bypass. for sure, praise them and contain a deal with for purely right effects. once you get them to bypass outdoors a pair of times, the hardest area is over. Now you need to keep reinforcing that habit with praise and treats (in case you choose to apply treats). As reported by somebody else, exercising is so as that it's going to facilitate "going." In my journey getting pups on a agenda is a large help. understanding at the same time as my canine (who's at the moment in problem-free words 5 mths old) many times is going, i visit get her out at about an same time. She has challenge letting us comprehend she needs to go out. once you need to, and somewhat choose them to end their habit of going interior, attempt writing down the purely right time you reported them go. keep music of this and if it truly is about that aspect lower back, keep them out till they go. believe me, they'll finally. in the adventure that they ought to bypass, they ought to bypass!
