Basicly sand the edges of the tiles then go purchase furniture bumpers. These are small rubber pads that will help protect your furniture from the tile. I have included several websites with neat ideas for tiles.

I agree with teguqueen and DA, and offer this other possibility: if you're into woodworking, frame them. A 1/4" plywood backing behind the tile and a nice small trim moulding around the tile will set it off nicely. Or if you're really good with a router, rout a square into a piece of wood slightly larger than the tile, and set the tile in the opening.

Assuming that you don't want to be cutting the tiles, you can get sheets of cork and felt feet at the local hardware store. You would use adhesive rated to be used on ceramic, and there won't be a problem.

with a ceramic tile cutter available at toll rental stores everywhere. But why bother, go to Wally world and buy new ones for about 5 bucks.

It's quite simple really. Lightly sand the edges and then either glue cork or felt to the backs.

As long as they're the right size, just sand off the edges to smooth them and glue felt to the underside.

I would glue some felt or put some small plastic dots on the bottom so they won't mar the furniture. That is a good thought. Thanks for the idea.
