As you have said that you have a partner and children, and are pregnant, I am thinking that you might have been living together with your partner for over 2 years. If you have been cohabitation for more than 2 years, and can prove that by letters linked to the same address to you and him (such as bank statement, utility bills) you could apply for unmarried partnership visa.
You need to fill in the application form, and submit it with those letters to you and him, and your and his passport, your and his sufficient bank statement, your passport sized photos and application fee. In some cases, you are asked to submit extra things like leas/letting agreement of where you live, or a letter from your landlord and so on. I think it's worth trying, but your over stay can be an issue, and they will want to know why you did that. Yet since you have children, I think you have a chance.
My advise is, talk to a good immigration lawyer, and have your case taken care of. Also contact Immigration Advisory Service, since they can help overstayers.
Good luck to you.

Britian does recognize common law marriages for the purpose of immigration. If you have had children in Britian with a British person then they are not likely to deport you. What you really should do is go to an immigration lawyer. They can file the paper work for you. Easiest thing to do of course would be to legally marry and then just file for perminant residency. It isn't like you are coming from Turkey or something. You really do need to go and start some type of paper work to stay. The longer you wait the more dodgy you look to them. I hope you are covered on some type of medical since you are pregnant. The easiest way is always to get an immigration lawyer. The second choice is just to call immigration and ask them what the process is. Like I said you are not trying to immigrate from some third world country and so they will probably be very helpful.

For someone in your situation, I would suggest that the best option would be to seek legal advice. Each and every person has an individual case so this would be the best option. From my experience as a UK immigration officer, you will be given the right to remain in the UK, however, the IND will want to question you and your partner.

I wish you every luck.

I would imagine if you have been with your partner for some time and they are your children, they would find it hard to send you home. But you should have applied before you time was up as you have now made it difficult. Get in touch with you local CAB who should be able to help. Even if they tell you, you have to leave, you just appeal and appeal and appeal as our system sucks. I tell you what I will take your place in Canada with my wife and child, a sort of mutual exchange as this country is now to PC for me. My wife is from overseas and came here legally, we fell in love, got married, payed taxes, payed our fees and they made it really hard for her to stay. If she would have thrown away her passport, said she didn't "speaky da inglish" she would have got a house, money and free everything. Instead we struggle as I am English (not British) and don't expect everybody else to pay for my choices.

You need to apply for an 'Unmarried Partners Visa' if you are not married. You need to go to the British Embassy in Canada with your partner, with proof of your relationship, fianances and residence in the UK. Good luck : )

why dont you go back home? if your visa has expired, you are in the country illegally. does that mean nothing to you? you had six months, you should have left when the time was up or done something about it before you expired. you are a criminal. why arent you asking someone with authority who can give you legal answers to your questions? now you have endangered your children.
