A complete recovery, hu? well, the person has got to want it. So the first step would be him/her admitting they are sick and WANT help. Then they have to have a strong support system going for them.To help him/her get into detox than rehab. When they get home they are going to have to work hard for their recovery and they are going to need help because they cant do it by themselves. This is where their support system comes in.Let them know how important the meetings are for them. Dont let them get lazy. Let them know that each day they dont use their a winner. They are no longer that loser they use to be.And let the person know they will always be in recovery, because they have not found a cure for addiction yet.

Complete recovery? The addict has to want to stop. And be willing to do whatever it takes to not use anymore. It is possible, yes. But you have to get help--if you try to do it alone--you WILL fail. It's guaranteed. If you want help, get into detox, then rehab (at least 28 days) and then you have to continue your recovery by going to NA meetings. To find a meeting:

that depends on the person. its all in the head, a weak person will fail and a strong person will survive. its that simple. its not about if your a good person, a good soul or if you pray etc etc....
