I came from a loving, nuturing, christian home. Yet, I feel the need to please everyone. And, when I feel that I fail at this, I lash out at the ones I love. Why do I act this way? I'm trying to change this way of thinking, but I sure could use some advice, please.

Your expectations are too high. You need to take a deep breath, and relax. What is important is your family, and the time you spend with them. You probably lash out in frustration. They don't expect you to be perfect - why do you? Be thankful for what you have - and remember those that don't have a loving, supportive family at this time of year.

It seems to me you want to make everyone happy at this time of year. God knows I would like to also. But I came to the realization that I didnt have enough money or time to do that. You have to focus on the reason for the season...JESUS. He is the one who we should be trying to please......not man. Just be the best christian u can be and show others love and that will make JESUS pleased. God bless and Happy Holidays.

you reconize it so,you are on your way but, nothing is perfect, just try to think positively, when something happens thats not in your plans ,take care of it as it comes if for some reason you can't then let it go.the more you stress your self out the more unpleasant its going to be.also heres the big 1 ask for help, you are only 1 person.as far as lashing out at people try smiling and say ' gee i could use some help,or try saying 'im sorry im working on this i didn't mean to lash out at you' good luck happy holidays

AnnieMac nailed it. You have to learn that you can't please everyone all the time, and you have to take time to please yourself, and I don't just mean that in a sexual way, lol. Your striving for perfection in a imperfect world.
