How? We don't know "how" God does anything, because our limited human minds cannot grasp the infinite concept of "God" in any real sense. We tend to view Him in human terms, which helps us get some feeble grasp on the concept of God, but which is totally insufficient to enable us to understand "how" God works. We can say God created the universe out of nothing by an act of His will. It is a true statement, but utterly simplistic, and doesn't really help us to understand "how" He did it.
