This is a good question...I probably would not eat the deer if I hit it with my truck, this would be morally disturbing for me...But if someone else hit the deer and prepared it for me...I would probably give it a go.

I would not eat this particular animal, I think it would be better suited to scientific study!!! On a few of the other points others have made...well, lets just say LOTS of people eat roadkill. Wild deer is a very low fat high protein meat, and is very good eating, and out here in the mid-west we have roadkill tagging. People put their name on a WAITING LIST just to get a deer that has been recently killed. Most animals are usually killed quickly and most of the meat is still good. It is a great way for lower income families to have fresh meat to eat. Also, very , very few game animals in the U.S. are diseased any more than domestic live stock. I have never heard anyone say that they have gotten sick from eating wild deer, and here in Kansas, most families have some in their freezer! Hope this helped.

I read that in Odd News yesterday too. Totally gross. I don't think I would eat mutant deer. I'd probably have donated the carcass to science.

Not a chance! Consider where the guy lives...
People eat dog in some parts of the world, but I wouldn't do that either.

I'm not big on seeing my food alive and then dead. The deformities aside, if that were my neighbor and invited me over for venison...I'd go.
