I tried the Proacvtive to Persciption drugs with little or no help. Someone suggested I use sulfur. Lo and behold their is a product that has Sulfur as an active ingredient, called Bye bye Blemish.
I suppose that it is sulfur that has helped me become blemish free.

Hi, I have tried pretty much everything from pro-ative to clinique and more! The only thing that I have found that actually realy does work is Aveeno. All it is is a bar of soap. It comes in different ways, but the one that I use is in a dark green box. Wash your face with it about 2-3 times a day and you will see a difference!! Trust me! The best thing about it is that you can buy it at Wal-mart or K-mart for only like $3 dollars!! Hope you try it! I'm possitive that it will work!!!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action.

Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past!

Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

If you are under the age of 25, you can use products with benzoil peroxide (unless you have REALLY dry skin). If you are over 25, then you have adult acne and benzoil peroxide won't work anymore and will actually make your acne worse. Try using products that contain salicylic acid. Clean and Clear makes some really good ones. And if you are over 30 (or, again, have really dry skin) you should try using their moisturizer with salicylic acid. It will clear and prevent acne and moisturize, too. Find all these products at your local drug store, Walmart, Target, etc.

a lot of it has to do with your diet. the better you eat and the more water you drink helps a lot. wash your face every day when u wake up and before you go to bed. change your pillowcase every day. ur doctor can tell u what the best medicine to use is and he can usually give u something a lot better than u could get over the counter. i started taking birth control and that made the biggest difference for me.

OMG why do people answer questions when they don't know what they are talking about??

Listen to me I can help you.

TIPS:
-drink 8 glasses of h2o a day
-wash your face twice a day w/LUKEWARM h2o
-take a multi-vitamin w/o iodine and 50mg zinc
-keep your hands/hair OFF YOUR FACE
-DON'T PICK! if you pop a pimple, and its not ready, you can do more damage and it can scar. But...if you do have to and its ready, wrap your fingers in clean tissue and press DOWN on either side of the zit, not inward.
-use clean white PAPERTOWEL each time you wash face to pat dry...or use a clean washcloth EACH time u wash but don't use fragrance in your laundry soap/dryer sheets especially for your washcloths and pillowcases!! Use cheer free or baby detergent.
-use a mild cleanser (Oil of Olay sensitive skin foaming cleanser) and toner (neutrogena alcohol free) and oil free, fragrance free moisturizer in morn...cleanser w/exfolliating granules, toner, then a 2.5 benzoyl peroxide topically at night..if not working up it to 5%. If that doesn't work 10% but you need prescription for that. You could also visit the link below and pick one of her kits based on your skin type.
