one may say it affects all of us. for example, it affects homosexuals themselves, but also heterosexuals, since it makes it twice as hard to find a match, since the population of the heterosexuals decreases to increase population of the homosexuals.

Some people would say it's a choice. Others a mental illness. Neither of them are right. Homosexuality just didn't start overnight. Homosexuality has been around since ancient times. Their are large groups of homosexuals in each country. They are all part of nature balancing the human population here on earth. Think about it...If every single human on earth was a heterosexual, then their would be more and more babies born, and overcrowding in societies would set in. Although homosexuals are fully capable of producing children of their own, through natural or artificial means, most of them don't have the desire to have children. Trust in nature and the earth - Homosexuals are here for a reason.

It is no disease any more than being heterosexual. It is all good .Love is love,If the Bible says other wise it is spreading prejudise. It is an urge ,not a choice, like picking meatloaf for dinner. There are chemical changes in the brain when a homosexual sees the same sex, just like there are in heterosexuals. It is not a defect, just a difference between the two. Some people are wired to love the same sex, some the opposite sex.Like i said,it is all good and beautiful,There is no fault or evil doings. Some people are just created differently, thats all

Homosexuality is NOT a mental disease. Have you ever talked to anyone who is gay? I don't believe it is a choice. When I talk to my gay friends and asked them did they choose to live that way, they said no...they just ARE gay. They are born that way and society teaches us to think that being a homosexual is wrong. They wouldn't CHOOSE to be a scapegoat or be stereotypes and hated upon.
One of my gay friends and I were having a few drinks when he said, "I hate you for being so assertive and I know one day you will end up being happy with a hot man and two kids - a perfect family. I can't have that or even hope for that because I am gay. I can't have a traditional family. I can't get married and have that stability in my life like you can have. I am destined for this life that I was born with."
Of course, times are changing and we as a society are accepting the homeosexual lifestyle but you have to realize that we are not on this Earth to judge others. Get to know people as PEOPLE not what their skin color is or their sexual perferences.

If you look at the DSM-4, which is the standard text for evaluating mental illnesses, you'll see that homosexuality isn't there.
Mental health professionals no longer consider homosexuality to be a mental illness. I don't really care what others think (homophobes, fundamentalists).

All I can tell you is what I think.
Homosexuality is just a preference. It's not a "disease", and nothing straight people need to be afraid of. It takes make kinds of people to populate the world, and we should all embrace each other's differences.

I would feel bad for those that think homosexuality is a mental disease. Clearly they are people who will look for any sort of option that can promote their own convictions.

I believe that homosexuality is immoral and unethical , and it goes against the teachings of all monotheistic religions, and it has been technically, and clinically categorized as a mental disease since the 1970's

sexuality is like skin colour, gender or nose shape.
It's a natural part of a person. Not a choice. That's just facsist dogma.

God made Adam & Eve!
He destroyed a town called sodom & gommorah; because it was full of homosexuals and they wouldn't change their ways!
it's just easier to say...they can't help it, that's the way they are!
Alcoholics can stop drinking, Gamblers can stop Gambling, Drug Users can stop using, smokers can stop smoking, cheaters can stop cheating, Homosexuals can stop too, and God will help them stop, because he DIDN"T create them to do that!

I understand that homosexuality is biological. One can no more fight their homosexuality than can fight off their skin color. It is with them until the end.
