I had it done twice in New York, cost about $180 each time. Lasted bout 7-9 months. I thought it was well worth it and it didn't damage my hair. That was bout 5-6 years ago but i wouldn't get it done again as the GHD Hair Straightners are the best and will make your hait sleek straight, also curly hair is big time in at the moment.

My husband has curly hair and he used to get it straightened. It made his hair look really thin though and it wasn't very damaging, but enough to make it look like it had been processed. Good thing that grew out and he got his curls back!

I have had my hair straightened. It does damage the hair, especially if your hair isnt in great health before you do it.

I regret doing it.

Why not try and work with what you have?

yeah it can damage your hair. it all depends on how much chemicals your hair can take before know how much damage it can do. It could also cause you hair to thin if not fixed properly
