As an adult you will there are many types of intimate conversations. There could the reason of just wanting to a remember a very special intimate time that would spark a conversation. I guess it really depends on how intimate the conversation is.

I think that it is fun to talk intimate. I think that should come before sex any way. I mean this can give you a chance to get to the know the person better.

I think it is just the "naughty" thing. Everyone has an intimate relationship with themselves anyway. You know! That they don't want the world to know about. And we'll let a little of THAT leak out in times of emotional adventure.

Friendship, having someone to talk too, who understands them. I don't know many people who want to be alone, company is something we all should have and deserve. The older we get the more confused we become as well, having someone to support is during hards times is another reason.

depends what you mean by intimate --- if you mean sex talk then they want sex with someone willing
if you mean an intimate talk ie talking about feelings thoughts things that happened their dreams then this is not about sex its about friendship and closeness
