Absolutely worth while if you want to have a good command of English and to be able to learn the Romance Languages (all of which are a modern form of Latin) to a high standard. I started learning it for fun when I was six (taught by my father) and nowadays I couldn't be without it! It has helped me with studies of modern language and law. An invaluable tool!

Its neither fun nor easy. It is completely pointless! Except for impressing some friends by knowing the latin verses of o come all ye faithful, i've never used it. And that only works as long as i get new friends every year!

Would really depend on what you plan on doing. For instance, if your planning on studying the works of the Bible it would be useful or if you study some of the ancient civilizations.
