It is often said that unless we love ourselves no one else will be able to love us.... I have heard this many times over the years and I think your question is a valid one which we all should put some thought into.

It is true that when you learn to love yourself others will love you.. but it does not mean that everyone will love you.

Loving yourself means a whole range of things..Here is what I think it means to love yourself...

Maintain integrity in its raw form... in other words be true to your beliefs (unless you discover they are in serious error and need changing, then change them and be honest about the need t change them and be true to your now better beliefs), stand up for the things that are important to you.. and be true to your word...trust yourself.. genuinely be you...

Get to know yourself well and know what it is you do like and don't like.

Be kind and carng towards yourself.. don't be a people pleaser it never works.. take time out foryourself when you need it and do things that are kind to you.. learning to say No to others is an important part of this..

Dont put yourself in stressful, painful, or tiring situations unnecessarily...

Take time out every day for your own grooming, give yourself pedicures, manicures, take time to style your hair, keep yourself neat and tidy... do this for yourself not to impress others.. as you are doing it be mindful of what you are doing and how it is a part of you taking good care of yourself.. Be a good steward of your own body.

Learn new things, have adventures, discover how things work, exercise your mind, your curiosity, your creativity as well as your body.

well for a start when you make a mistake sometimes whether it was just a bad choice or just a job that could have been done a better way or you never studied enough
(don't ever run yourself down & call yourself an idiot etc ) just correct yourself & say well i may have done a silly or wrong thing etc
but most of the time i do a good job & i also can make some very good choices
you need to pat yourself on the back at times so to speak when you do things that are good clever kind loving helpful etc etc
its all the bad negative self talk that you do in your head that helps to pull you down & makes you think you are not worthy etc
& if you dont love yourself & you really think you are not worth loving you set yourself up for failing by being nasty & mean etc
& so therefore when you act like that you are not real lovable &
you make it hard for others to love you

Be encouraged and not discourage, take care of ourselves properly, don't let know one disrespect us, keep the faith, do something for your self that will build you up, make healthy decisions, surround yourself with people who or beneficial (loving) and claim a religion.
