Most citizens here either did it your way, or their ancesters did. One HUGE differance is that your parents wanted you to be an AMERICAN. The illegals are not interested in that.

They should not even be in this country much less be working and enjoying the benefits that this country's offers Without taking the responsibility of entering this nation legally. All people should go thru the immigration process, they must not circumvent the laws of this country.
They sneak across the border, flaunting our laws and thumbing their noses at our nation and then.march in the streets and demand rights. Its simply despicable to me.
And who suffers besides this country? The people doing it the legal way, that's who..And if they are granted amnesty, its a slap in the face of the lawful people doing their best to get here via the legal route.Do you think that if they do get amnesty that the USA will eant./have room for LEGAL
immigrants? The illegal aliens are taking away the right of people coming here legally. Its simply wrong and must be stopped. No amnesty for any illegal aliens from any country.
And about our economy, its a lie that we NEED illegal aliens
It's too bad Alan Greenspan wasn't exposed for the old fraud he is while he was the Fed chairman. When he started mumbling on during some senate testimony about how the United States must open the gates to immigration so we can keep "our" economy growing, it would have been great had we a senator on the committee with the intelligence and character to nail him.The size of the overall economy is an economic statistic with no value outside its usefulness to frauds like Lawrence Kudlow, Tamar Jacoby, and the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal as a means to hoodwink gullible and short-sighted Americans into acquiescing to the radical transformation of their country through mass immigration.

I agree deport!!!! And for those people who fear that your vegetables will go up to outrageous amounts there are people who will be willing to come into this country legally to do the jobs! I am sure there are plenty of Mexican and others who still would like those jobs but are willing to obey the law. So don't worry about pay 20 dollars a head for lettuce. If you enforce deportation then they will not try to come here the short cut, illegally. They will go the legal route if they want it bad enough. Imagine that!!!! Wow you everyone would be safer for it.

First of all, let me congratulate you and your parents on understanding the greatness of the US in wanting to become a citizen of our country.
Most American's understand that immigration is a great thing that helps our country, as long as the people who come here truly want to become American.
The problem is that many who come here do not want to become American, they simply wish to take advantage of it's kindness and wealth. Take the Mexican demonstrations where the protesters waved Mexican flags and shouted "Aztlan!" (the mythical country that encompasses about half of the USA, and is sold to the poor in Mexico as their Palestine) These people do not want to be Americans, they came here by breaking the law, and want to stay here by breaking the law.
On Deportation: Deportation is simply the end goal of breaking a law. When you break a law such as robbing a bank, are you let go to wander the country? No, of course not.
We must deport all illegals to save the American dream of America being a melting pot of cultures who all, in the end, become "American".

I agree with you 100%. It is not fair for some people to abide by the law, pay thousands of dollars to become a citizen, learn English, and get a job, while others get a free ride. I would like to see deportation of all illegals.

Deportation is fair.
i know a lot of people from the south of the border that come to the U.S. illegally and they come for good reasons, a better future for their families, their kids, theirselves, etc. they think that they shouldn't be treated the way they've been treated 'cause they don't consider themselves criminals 'cause they work honestly BUT in reality is not honestly the word 'cause when they came here illegaly and they are using someone else SSN# to work they become criminals.
The government is not doing enough to stop this. Also there wouldn't be a lot of immigrats if employers would check the SSN# to verify is real or who does it belong to.

No it is not fair. It's nt fair to my great grandfather who had to fight in the civil war to be allowed to stay in this country when he brought his family here. Unfortunately too many liberals are fighting to keep them here and get them on welfare to keep their nice state jobs at the welfare office. Never mind the fact that the rest of the hard working americans are footing the bill for all these illegals, and people who refuse to get jobs and support themselves. I think we should not only deport the illegal immigrants, I think we should deport americans who refuse to work so those of us that do don't have to pay for them anymore.

There are a multitude of issues here. First you are right. They absolutely should be deported, and the government needs to get off their *** and start doing something about it. Most of these people never bother attempting to learn the language when they come here and expect to be accomodated to which can be extremely frustrating. Thirdly and most importantly, they live sometimes dozens to a single family dwelling, creating huge implecations to community health, spreading diseases throughout the communities in which they live. Most don't seek health care and when they do it's too late or too advanced and they've infected too many for the health dept to keep track of. This is a huge burden on an already overburdened system. A system we are paying for with our tax dollars.

They shouldn't stay if they are illegal. I think that everyone that comes over should have to go through that process. Its not fair but until enough people say something about it or the right people say something then I don't think that anything will happen. Do you agree?

I have nothing against people that come to the US and became legal citizens. People have came to the US since it was discovered that is how it was built. It is the ones that come here ILLEGALLY that scew everything up and cause all the problems. Your parents did it the right way. They paid their dues.

,No, it's absolutely unfair and that's part of what everyone is so up in the air about. I suspect that the people who are against immigration, legal or not, are a very small percentage of those who have an opinion. Immigration isn't a bad thing, it just needs to be done by the rules and we legal citizens shouldn't be displaced socially or economically, by 8.5 million criminals.
