Ok,ive been going out with this guy for 4 months now.
My parents are conservative people and i was amazed that they accepted the fact that am seeing someone(Even though they have someone else in their mind for me).Am 24 and he is 33. They don't know him or his family...(this kind of info is very essential for them). I have decided to invite him at my place for a party am throwing and he will be coming too. As i've said,my parents are conservative people, and now i don't know how to act when he and they will be around!Usually am very affectionate towards my boyfriend, but now when they will be there as well i don't think i'll be that confident in acting so...I feel like we'll be going through a test...and am very anxious about this thing.Maybe my parents will see something they don't like and judge meand him about it....However am sure they know that we've slept together!!!How should i act?I don't want to make my boyfriend feel unconfortable either!

Don't think ahead about how you'll act and be natural when you're there, you'll find naturally what to do and what not to do.
Talk about it with your boyfriend ahead though. Let him know that you might not be as affectionate, and explain why.
Whether they like him or not won't be because of how you act with him but his personality.

When meeting parents, I would say holding, or the hand on the kneed are fine things. Avoid touching intimate areas like the butts. Might sound silly, but you might want to tell your boyfriend to be careful too.
Avoid long passionate kisses that would make people feel uneasy.
Keep some marks of affection though, because not only that's the way you are, but it will also show your parents that you care for him. And conservative or not, what most parents want is to see their child happy.

Good luck and be yourself.

I'm sure your boyfriend will understand that some of the affection has to tone down while you are infront of your parents. But I would not hessitate to accept and give small kisses, ( make sure to smile afterwards and look real happy, pretend like they arent watching) it will help them realize how happy he makes you, and no matter how conservative your parents are, all they want is to see you happy. My parents are really conserative too, they have money and drive nice cars, they whole 9 yards, and I started dating this biker guy who i thought they would just hate, he came from the wrong side of tracks, and was very rough around the edges, and my parents ended up absolutely loving him! Me and him have been togeather for 3 years and my parents are very supportive.

At 24 I hope you can have them meet at your party without being all over him. Also I would assume if this is the guy you want to be with your parents could except that, unless there is something you are not telling us.

You should act how you always act; be yourself. Your parents need to respect the fact that you are an adult, & this is the man you have chosen. They love you & should love anyone that loves you & makes you happy. You can love & respect your parents without allowing them to control your life. I understand that you want thheir approval, but it sounds like they have no reason to disapprove; you are happy. That is all they should care about.

I think that you should give your parents respect and keep your hands to yourself while in their presence. If you want to slip off for a little private seconds, just excuse yourself. That way your bf is happy and your parents are cool. Have a nice party.

Don't start kissing him in front of your parents, just act like he was a friend or something. Maybe you could hold his hand. Make sure he doesn't get too drunk!
