Yet another ridiculous Idea ! This Government should shut the hell up and stop wasting gazzillions on war and stop picking on people who don't fit the "normal" tag and accusing them for all the countries ILLS!

I think the idea of an obesity helpline on larger sized clothes is awful. As you say, the smaller people arent being victimised like this. And although it can be unhealthy to be very overweight, many larger people know they are overweight and many are trying to lose weight. Ive just lost a stone, but when I was carrying the extra weight and having to buy clothes I felt very very self conscious. If I bought an item of clothing with an obesity helpline on, I would feel terrible! Its only because the NHS dont want to pay for treatment for larger people, however thay also have to fork out for Annorexia and Bulimia patients!

And yet another idiotic question. With idiotic answers. That is insulting and demeaning to anyone that would wear that size clothing. It would NOT sell shirts and would probably be sued for discrimination.

How about this: We put tags on YOUR clothes warning against the dangers of stupidity and insensitivity. Idiot.

Tell me - what would the label say ????

Warning - wearing this garment could give you a heart attack!

Warning - the government thinks you're fat and ugly and your mama dresses you funny!

Warning - Fashion police don't think this is right for you...

Warning - you should lose weight because you're using all the cotton industry's supplies!!!

PLEASE!!! WHEN did the UK public lose their right to CHOICE.?

If someone is fat - they already know about it! It's up to them to decide what to do about it...

And Yes - why not annorexics.... they too are guilty of not fitting into the exact model of the goverment stipulation....

the problem with people is that they depend on big companies, and the government to tell them what to do and how to do it. People shouldn't depend on the government to change the food in the school to healthier choices. The kids will only come home and eat potato chips in front of the tv. Oversized people need to have the drive to eat healthy and lose weight, not depend on some clothing company to push them to do it.

Bad idea on both counts because being big doesn't mean you just over eat and being small doesn't just mean you're anorexic.

e.g. my neighbours daughter has just been diagnosed with a thyroid problem but the doctor says he's no longer allowed to prescribe the tablets to treat it. Also, I've recently seen someone who looked anorexic but actually has MS. My sister-in-law is only a UK size 6 but not anorexic just petit and healthy.

Im a size 8-10 and have no eating disorders, so would be pissed off if they put that on the labels. Also some larger people have glandular problems. So basicually your idea sucks!

i say no because there are plenty of smaller size people in the world who do not suffer from any disorders.

conversly the probability of a person who purchases abnormally large clothes having health issues is much greater.

who exactly would be the judge of who is fat or skinny you? a statement like that tells me you are perfect in every way , note I am being facetious about the perfect part

i think both ideas are intrusive and would discourage shopping....

there are better ways to get the messages out to people about being obese or being anorexic......
