HATE only comes from a place when another person has hurt you in some way. Has he hurt you or said mean things to you or smacked you? If not, then it's actually called DISLIKE. The next time this person tries to corner you alone let him/her know that it's no longer appropriate - that is, if he has hurt you emotionally or physically. Be honest but maintain your dignity and class.
Now, if it's DISLIKE, which I'm assuming it is b/c you don't want to hurt his feelings, then there is no genuine, tactful way of telling him to leave you alone without coming across as a b*tch. How do you deal with it? Walk away. Don't answer calls. Ignore him. Sooner or later it will sink in to him and he'll move along, and you will keep your integrity in tact.
Remember honey, hate is a very powerful & negative word - do not use it freely b/c it sends a bad message of what kind of person you are.

Politely tell him that you think he's nice, but you are not interested in a relationship with him. Tell him that a friendship is all you're looking for at this time. If you are not sure of his gender, then you need to ask someone. If you know this person's name, it shouldn't be difficult to find out. Be very careful if he persists in bothering you or talking to you only alone. If all else fails in the "nice" area, tell him directly that you are not interested in him and to please find someone else for his attentions. You can always just do avoidance with this person, but in the end, he(or she) will just continue to bother you. Be up front and stand your ground when you say you're not interested, but use a kind voice.

That is difficult. You could always use the old Seinfeld phrase
"I'm really limited on time these days spread real thin and I just don't have room for another friend in my life right now. Nothing personal"
That is all I can think of because I think no matter what it's gonna be offending.
I do not envy you! Sorry not more help!

you can't! there is no graceful way of telling someone that you hate them and you wouldn't care if you never spoke to them again. the right thing to do is to be honest without being mean. tell him that you are not interested in a "relationship" with anyone right now. if that doesn't work then tell him that you have all the friends that you need right now but if one of them dies you will give him a call.

well for one you dont hate him, because your worried if he;s going to be hurt.
maybe you just dont have anything in comman,or maybe your friends dont like him...whatever the case my be, just tell him how you feel but in a nice way.
if he keeps talking to you after that.just turn and walk away without saying anything...keep doing it he will get the message, but if he dont then i would let someone know about it.

i'm in the same situation! but then instead i get chased by him and my friends and i are thinking that he might be stalking me too! i ran away from him a few times. but it wouldn't work. so in your situation i think you should just tell him/her that you don't really feel confortable with him'/her around or everytime he/she tries to talk to you just say that you're busy then walk away as soon as possilbe, or as fast as possible. just send him/her signals that you don't want to talk to him/her. you gotta be mean sometimes or else you'll end up with a stalker. good luck! :D

There is no easy way to tell a person you don't like them. Don't bother how he will feel because you will hurt him either way just tell him you don't like him and be straight forward with him.

apparently polite is not working
and you HATE him why try to be nice and spare his feelings. If the term hate is true you shouldn't be concerned about his feelings.
