Good advice from whoever it was that posted before this one.
Change your user name and DO NOT use your email address. That's a sure way of getting 20-30-60 spam mails a day.

You can download IE7 optimized for Yahoo on, well of course, www.yahoo.com. I'm using IE7 right now. It has a "tabbed" browsing feature which enables you to open multiple web pages in a single window. No more cluttering on the taskbar. Plus, if you download IE7 from Yahoo, it includes a Yahoo Toolbar with Pop-up Blocker and a 30-day free trial of Norton Internet Security. The format of IE7 is not like the usual Internet Explorer, but you can easily get the hang of using it.

There is a problem but its easy to fix.
Download IE7 & then use it for a while. Log off & back on & you'll get a BT error message.
Go to update your BT Yahoo software & download the BTY Browser again & the error message etc will go & all will work correctly.

If I was you, I wouldn't use the yahoo browser. It is just a way to force their services on you. Also, with broadband you can use any web browser you want and it will not affect your ability to connect to the internet, so don't feel that you have to use the yahoo browser. Here are a few other good browsers you can check out: IE7 of course from www.microsoft.com, Mozilla Firefox from www.mozilla.com and Opera from www.opera.com. I'd go ahead and install IE7 (it contains many new features and security fixes) and uninstall the yahoo browser.

I think that BT don't know what they are talking about, I have IE7 and have had no problems with it and my home page is Yahoo, go ahead and download it and give it a try, nothing will go wrong and if you still don't like it then download fire fox as well, best of luck.

uhm, the "yahoo browser", i believe, is just a modified version of IE, as with almost every other "company browser" out there, so all they mean by "not compatible" is that they haven't made a new spinning icon to go in the top left corner yet. another reason, though, to not upgrade is that it sucks, 50% of the time it'll just mess something up and it's not worth it, just use firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) and you'll be fine. and if you're on the windows update site, just click on the item description of IE7 and check the box that says "hide" or whatever, if you're using the automatic updates in windows just uncheck IE7, hit next, and it'll ask if you want it to not show ever again, hit yes, and you'll forget all about it :)

The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team recommends that you use a different browser
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"
http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/713878
But with that said, you should still update to IE7 because at least it is more secure than IE6. Once you update it, simply just let it sit there and use Firefox instead

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with Firefox. The best thing to do is download Internet Explorer 7 available from http://www.microsoft.com It's faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs, constantly updated and the most secure browser to date.

BT have given you bad advice, they are blaming IE7 when they've had access to the beta version and time to sort themselves out.
Use IE7 and not Yahoo browser.
And change your user name, never use your e-mail address online as you'll get loads of spam!
