You read about the stoning of Stephen.
He went into a long speech about Jesus and the Jewish faith and salvation.
The leader instead of arguing with him reasonably covered their ears and ran at him.
Ever feel that way when you tell people about Jesus?
Like they won't listen to reason?

I love St. Stephen. If I recall right, St. Paul (before his conversion) was there for either his trial or stoning. It was one of the things that helped open St. Paul's eyes to God.
As I answered someone earlier, perception is the key. I"m sure some of my pagan friends feel the same way about me. They have, on occasion said, "Why follow God? Why not ?" Even as nicely as they put it, I won't change. I listen to be nice, but in the end, I, too, turn away and stay on my path for God. I'm sure they think I'm not listening to reason.

Actually I usually feel like that when people start talking ABOUT Jesus. I have notice that many Christians are so set in their ways that they feel other faiths are worthless and 'evil'. Many Christians seem to think we are not listening to reason when all they want to do is bring us into 'the fold' without actually willing to learn a little about our faith.

its not really reson sweet heart your religion is faith based for some reason some christians cant understand that you just got to say whatever it s you got to say. do it as non offending and unforcefully as you possible can if they say no then just leave it at that. hay if you want to tell people about jesus go ahead alot of us have no problem with that it just how you some christians act when we reject what they tell us. they dont understand that their religion is a faith based thing if you dont have the faith in it, it doesnt mean anything and its not going to be reasonable to us. so dont try to force it on us just say what you got to say and then leave it at that.
(this is a pagan not a christian)

You say that as if telling people about Jesus was actually reasonable.
There's no reason involved in the Christian message. It's all about blind acceptance.

people that don't believe in Jesus don't want to feel pressured by it. they don't want to now. you wouldn't like it if people kept coming up to you to explain why Jesus doesn't excised? people have a chose to believe what they want other people shouldn't make that chose for them. no offense.

Hi Stephanie, yes the truth is challenging and provoking, you cannot easily dismiss the truth and it agitates the sinful spirit and some people cannot handle this very well and resort to anger and violence.

Would you argue with a fire or put it out? Would you argue with a mad dog or shoot it?
