Ductility is the amount that any material yields under shear stress. Gold, copper, aluminium, and steel express high ductility.

Gold is most ductile.
The order is as stated above.

Ductility as commonly known is the property of metals to be drawn into wires.
Copper wires are very essential in almost all electrical appliances. It can be easily dawn into wires as mentioned above.

Ductility and strenght of steel makes it the number one choice for building and reinforcement purposes.

Most metals are ductile... aluminum and steel are examples.

Most useful? Well that is a bit of a subjective question, but steel is the most used. All concrete structures like bridges, dams have steel reinforcing the concrete (precisely because of its ductility, it balances out the concretes brittleness). Steel beams form the skeleton of most skyscrapers, electric transmission and communication towers. Steel is used still extensively in automobiles, trains and (although aluminum is more prevalent) still in aircraft.
