It depends on the shape of the car. And if you are selling it.
If your car has a lot of rust stains, and bumps and 'bruises' no color is going to hide it perfectly. But if you are looking to sell it faster, paint it a neutral color, like white,brown, black or silver, because more people will be attracted to a neutral color than a flashy one like banana yellow, especially if its a parent looking for a first car for their child. They usually do great business with you, so make sure you clean the car really good, and hope it doesn't smell funny, and good luck with the painting!

White or Black. It is more of a solid color.
Silver (gray) and Gold, are the hardest color to match. These colors tend to show more flaws than any colors. Sometimes they had to paint the whole side to match the color of one particular spot.

It is best to stay as close as possible to the original color. A major change to the color will be apparent in the places that the painters miss, or under any scratches that occur after painting.

grey or silver. White shows dirt and scratches and dark colors show dents and flaws when clean.
