Do not even try to convince him. You will lose the fight! Rather just be yourself. Live your life as honest as you can and be open towards him. Answer his questions, even though he differs from you. Be his mm and his pal, without comprising who you are. Also be firm and gentle, not beng afrid to correct him when he needs to be corrected. Show him the way though your deeds and not your words.
Remember that he is now in that most difficult stage of life where he questions everybody and everything this life can offer. He is bold, forward, arrogant and I agree that this can sometimes so unbearable! He is searching for answers and does not needs mere word now. Love him unconditonally and support him in whaterver he does - providing iti s good an legitimate!
I pray that God will give you tons of patience, tolerance and love for this beautiful young person He has entrusted to your care! For, my dear sister [or brothe] the day will come when he will fully realize that yu ACTUALLY KNOW MORE! Then he will respect you for not being harsh and unreasonable, but for allowing him the space to find himself nd his way in this [sometimes aoh so cruel] world of ours.
God be with you and may your young son grow up to be a man after God's own heart, one who will only bring you bundles and bndles of joy and laughter. Before you know it, he will be a grown man...!

Tell him How honour and important it is for younger ones to learn and listen to older people. Let him realise that u were ones like him, but,It takes humility and submission to understand the issues of life. To be sincere the young boy is at the age of aduult-hood,where they have problem with youthful exhorbitant. Finally commit him to Go's hand foe divine guideance.

You don't. If we were are to become uneducated with age, why aren't we highly educated at birth? Maybe you could ask him that question.

Don't even dignify it with a response! Just give him a "whatever" attitude.
He'll figure it out someday, that he doens't know everything. With his cocky attitude he'll get into a situation sooner or later where he won't know what to do and then he'll be sorry he said this.

Don't bother...he won't listen. I told my son to "enjoy this time in your life because you're the smartest ,right now, that you'll ever be." Several years later he came to me and said that I was right. They eventually realize that they have much more to learn but finding that out is something they have to do by themselves.

You can't. He is 16 -of course he thinks he knows everything. Ask him for his share of the rent and his food intake and clothing and lets see how much he knows THEN!

My 16 year old is the same way. I guess we just let them make their own mistakes and hope they remember right from wrong.

Save your breath, you can't. He's at the stage where he actually believes he DOES know it all. Only maturity, about age 26, will (hopefully) show him the folly of his ways.
