We don't hate 40 yo bald men... just the ones with a chip on their shoulders about being bald. There are a ton of uber-sexy bald guys out there. I should know, I'm in love with one!
Maybe you need to work on your physique? If you're showing a six pack instead of a keg on your abdomen I bet a lot more women will be at least interested...
Interest is where it starts, but it really boils down to your personality. If you have a spiteful or self defeating attitude that tells a woman she is going to have to proove that she thinks you are "good enough" for her, or you have poor social skills, don't blame the ladies... ya gotta own your own issues!

I think your statement is to broad. Sometimes men feel less attractive when they mature because they feel they can't compete like they did when they were younger. The hair loss may just be a reminder of getting older. My husband is forty and bald. What nature didn't take away he shaves off. He's gorgeous! My father was bald at 24. There's nothing more attractive than big beautiful eyes looking into mine without the distraction of his hair. Embrace yourself and the women will love you.

They don't, if they've any sense.
Bald = lots of testosterone = sexy.
Get a classy hat and a positive attitude. Smile. Chat to every female you meet in the course of everyday activities.
And remember that the problems girls have usually stem from being not feminine enough for society's ideas of what a woman should be like. Too flat-chested. Having to deal regularly with moustache growth etc. At least you can flaunt the fact that your masculinity is not in question.
Just make sure that hat is stylish.

How many women did you survey to come to the conclusion that women hate 40 year old bald men? Did you factor in maturity? Stability? Humor? Intelligence? Overall appearance? Education? Or are you just assuming it's true because they don't seem to be attracted to you.
No offense, it's just the way you phrased the question. Sounds like you're referring to yourself.
There's a lot more to attraction than hair (or lack of hair).

When you say women do you actually mean 20 year-old women? I see a lot of men who hit on women young enough to be their daughters and they don't understand why those girls aren't receptive. (Hint - you probably look like one of their dad's friends. Imagine dating your mom's friends. Same thing.)
